The Group:
The Stitch'n'Kitsch collective is a group of over twenty independent artisans based in the Kitchener-Waterloo area in Ontario. We banded together in 2005 to offer each other support and info, and just to have fun! As a collective, we strive to promote both emerging and established craftspeople/artisans locally, and love to see people taking traditional crafts and turning them into something new! The Show and Sale:
We started the Stitch'n'Kitsch sale and show to create a venue for the promotion of our members- and so we could check out (and buy!) each other's work too! We now run four shows a year; one for each season. Our sales have grown from around a dozen vendors in the Fall of 2005 to around 30 vendors for our current sale! We do all the work for the sales ourselves; from designing and distributing posters, advertising and press releases, to helping each other out with product pricing, booth design and much more!
